Abstract

The title “officium nobile” gives lawyers the responsibility to stand up for all forms of justice. This study was conducted normatively using a legislative and conceptual approach. It focuses on examining the strategies for lawyers’ roles as “officium nobile” in law enforcement in Indonesia, including strengthening organizational governance and the code of ethics—both for individual members and the organization as a whole. The results of this study confirm that the strategic role of lawyers must engage with several pillars in a structured manner—not limited to a single aspect, such as strengthening moral standards and the code of ethics, but including all aspects that support lawyers’ eligibility to deserve the title “officium nobile,” both theoretically and pragmatically.
