Abstract
In Indonesia, investments in nominee agreements still used to circumvent legal restrictions. This situation contradicts the requirements for valid agreement as stipulated the Civil Code. This study aims to analyze legal consequences of land sale and purchase transactions using nominee agreements and examine the legal protection for Indonesian citizens in such transactions. The research method used normative juridical research, utilizing primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials analyzed qualitatively. The results indicate that the legal consequences of land sale and purchase transactions using nominee agreements are null and void. Legal protection for Indonesian citizens explicitly regulated in positive law in Indonesia.
